2018 Bugatti Chiron Arrives In The U.S.

2018 Bugatti Chiron

It’s officially here. The Bugatti Chiron which debuted last year to a throng of salivating onlookers at the Geneva Motor Show and has already made its way to Europe and the Middle East was delivered to its owner at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance last weekend.

With a global production of just 500 and a price tag of $2,998,000 in the US you aren’t likely to see many of these on your local streets. But among the many other super speedsters and luxury vehicles crowding Pebble Beach, this head-turning, neck-snapping bright yellow and deep-black “Nocturne” demon eclipses all of them.

Inside and out the yellow jacket paintjob flows inside the cabin with bright yellow leather wrapping around the seat interiors and door trim while Beluga Black leather covers the rest.

The Chiron follows up on the Veyron with a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine that delivers 25% more performance – 1,479 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque.

We expect more hardened numbers on performance of the Chiron in the near future now that it’s landed stateside, but for now we’ll still with Bugatti’s claims with the Chiron doing 0-62 mph in under 2.5 seconds and a top speed over 249 mph. (On the road that number hits 260 mph – we’ll have to see what that means for the track.)

This is the stuff legends are made of and it’s already in place to claim one title, that of worst fuel economy according to the EPA. According to Bugatti the 2018 Chiron gets 11 mpg which puts it in a clear run for the top position on their 2018 list.
